The "Secret Of Kells" graphic novels by Tomm Moore are out! Here are three of the pages of Vol.2 I worked on recently.Tomm layed out the pages with a mixture of screenshots from the movie including posing by Barry Reynolds and new elements, and Ray Forkan and myself then worked on the detailed stuff. Marie Thorhauge also did stellar work on the colours of the prequel part. The hardback cover is published by Glénat in France. All images are copyright of Glénat and Cartoon Saloon. Order it online!

these are the same design as feature?
ReplyDeleteThe graphic novels are adaptions of the movie - it's a selection of scenes from the movie combined with new elements specifically designed for the comic: Comic 1 starts with a 5-page-prequel about Brendan; the second comic starts with a 5-page-prequel about Aisling, both drawn by Tomm Moore.
ReplyDeleteyo fabs, happy burt da. how you? thanks for the comment
ReplyDeleteFabulous work! Is there any chance the graphic novels will make their way to the US in English? I saw a few French copies at the Animation Expo last year and was so tempted to pick them up, but I couldn't understand the text!
ReplyDeleteHi Erica. The comics were only published in French by Glénat as of now. The original comic is written in English, but so far no English-language publisher has come forward yet who is willing to release the comics in English...
ReplyDeleteIncredible movie!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat soundtrack too.
I was hoping for it to be part of another movie or story. It felt like it ended abruptly.
